Happy holidays from S.P.E.A.K.  "Staying Positive Equals Amazing Kids"

During this festive time of the year, many of us do not think
or understand how it feels to be homeless. We at S.P.E.A.K
conducted this blanket drive for that particular reason.
Our goal was to collect as many blankets as possible so this
event could benefit as many individuals as possible. Thanks
to you, our supporters, our drive was a resounding success.
We have amassed we over two hundred blankets and they
keep pouring in. This was truly a blessing to be able to freely
give back a small portion of what God has given to us. Again
we would like to thank every individual and every organization that  supported

our first blanket drive and we hope you have a blessed New Year.

Setting Examples for the World to Follow

What could be a better place for us to start handing out the
blankets that we received then "Love Park" in center city?
Since we have received so many blankets we have made
developed a rote line patten. Every Sunday at 11:30am we
will be giving out blankets, sometimes even food and
beverages. We will start in Love Park then and then go
down into the subways. This will take place for the next 3 to
4 weeks or until we have given out each and every blanket.

Anyone having the desire to help us give out these blankets
is 100% welcome to join us. Dozens of people die every year
from hypothermia. Hypothermia starts when the inside of
your body (core) reaches the temperature of 36' degrees
Celsius. The skin begins to pale then becomes numb and
waxy then fatigue begins. Weakness and muscle tenseness
starts and shivering begins. Thank you for helping us
                   to help them. S.P.E.A.K.
